Introducing….Follow The Curve

Welcome to Follow The Curve!

It’s here! … This is real life, isn’t it?

Follow The Curve has been my long-kept secret for almost 2 years now. This has been something that has been sitting on my heart for quite a while now, and I am so excited to finally make it into a reality. My reality. It’s taken a bit of time to make sure that all my ducks were in a row before I could release my brainchild out into the world, and I feel like I am taking a giant sigh of relief as I press the “GO” button on this long-awaited project.

I’ve always been a lover of fashion and style. If you knew me in grade school, you knew I was probably doing one of two things – looting my mother’s closet for her wardrobe, or drawing outfits with crayons and lined paper on my new “big girl” desk in my room. I was obsessed, and even now to this very day my love and appreciation for style has not dampened one bit.

As a millennial, the way we connect and find style has changed so much from when I was younger. Everything is at the tips of our fingers, and I love that I can find inspiration within minutes by scrolling through some of my favorite apps. I am always inspired by the way other women dress themselves. Give me a whole afternoon free to pour through pages of street fashion images and I’m a happy girl.

However, as the world of fashion blogging and influencing grew, so did a personal frustration. I felt like I wasn’t seeing enough women like me in it. Maybe a handful, but the balance was way off. I thought we had all moved past those early 2000’s days of rail-thin models, and clothes only going up to size 14. I longed to see style and influence that celebrated women of every size and shape. And one day I stopped and thought, why not me? So here we are.

I am so excited & determined to make this into a space of celebration, acceptance & joy. Follow The Curve is about feeling seen. It’s about changing the long-overdue narrative that style is only applicable at a certain size. I hope that when readers and followers click on my page, they can see themselves here. I hope they can feel welcomed, inspired and recognized. Follow The Curve is a labor of love, and my whole heart. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey.

Here we go.
